Enchanta Is Growing: Trading Cards, a Gaming App, and What We Are Building Next

We are actively building the next pieces of Enchanta and we want to bring you along for it. Here is what is in development, where we are, and what the experience is going to look like.

The Enchanta Nethren Trading Card Series

We are currently in active development and design on the official Enchanta Nethren Trading Card Game series. Each card in the collection is built around a single Nethren including its name, its category (Folk, Wild, or Spirit), its tier within the Wild system (Wandering, Ancient, or Legendary), its region of origin inside Enchanta, and its unique abilities.

The card system mirrors the Nethren universe exactly. Wild Nethren cards carry their rarity tier. Folk Nethren cards carry their alliance and role in the world of Enchanta. Spirit Nethren cards are the rarest of all, not tied to any tier, but unmistakable when found.

Quest Cards

Alongside the Nethren cards, Enchanta has its own separate card type called Quest cards. Each Quest card shows a specific location within Enchanta and gives the player a goal to complete during the game. Win the quest and you earn the card along with Gemcoins. Quest cards are what give the game its stakes and its reward, turning every match into an actual adventure with something worth fighting for.

We are in the design and visual development phase right now, working through card layout, illustrated style, tier signifiers, and the collecting architecture that will make the Enchanta card series feel like nothing else in the children's collectible market.

Spell Cards

Enchanta also has a third card type called Spell cards. Spell cards can be played at any point during the game and exist to shake things up. Some Spell cards work in your favor, giving you an edge, boosting your Nethrens, or helping you complete a quest faster. Others are built for chaos, blocking your opponent, reversing their progress, or throwing the whole game in a different direction. The right Spell card at the right moment can change everything.

The Enchanta Gaming App

The Enchanta gaming app is being built as a full digital card game where you play the Nethren trading card game against the computer. That is phase one. As the community grows, phase two opens up multiplayer so players can compete against each other. Further down the road, phase two also expands into exploring the regions of Enchanta directly inside the app.

We are currently in active development on the app's design and core mechanics. Every element is being built to feel like it belongs inside Enchanta, not like a generic game that happens to share a name with the cards.

Why We Are Building It This Way

Enchanta was designed from the ground up as an expandable universe. A world that grows with the children who discover it and a collecting experience with real depth, real goals, and real rewards. The Nethren cards, the Quest cards, and the gaming app are all part of the same ecosystem, designed to work together and build on each other.

The Nethren trading card series and the gaming app are both in active development right now. We will share more including card previews, app glimpses, and Nethren reveals right here as we get closer. The best Nethrens are still waiting to be discovered.
